The Orange County Multi Media Association hosts Photoshop Guru, Colin Smith on May 18th and holds a special meeting of the After Effects Abuser Group on May 26 at which they will draw for an Adobe CS5 giveaway!
The special meeting on May 18th is being held at Fullerton College and features free admission and free food. Special guest speaker, Colin Smith, is founder of the world's most popular Photoshop resource site, PhotoshopCAFE.com, which boasts over 20 million visitors.
Colin has authored or co-authored more than 18 books on Photoshop, including the best-selling How to Do Everything with Photoshop CS and CS2 (McGraw-Hill/Osborne, 2005) and award-winning Photoshop Most Wanted: Effects and Design Tips (A Press/Friends Of Ed, 2002).
Besides the Adobe CS giveaway, a $2100 retail value, the May 25th meeting features Terry Syndergaard sharing the secrets to adjusting video in After Effects to bring out those dark areas without sacrificing the lights -- and without changing the saturation and still matching the rest of your footage! And Bonnie Erdich will show the whiz bang effect of Track Mattes: a motion graphic effect that looks high tech, but is simple and quick. You must qualify to be eligible to win the Adobe CS5. The rules for the SC5 drawing can be found on the OCMMA website
