Video Production: A Writer’s Approach

You’d like to use a scriptwriter, but the budget is tight. You figure you could wing it, but where do you start? On Wednesday, January 19, award-winning writer and MCAI Member, Amy Brandais aka Amy The Writer, will share her process for scripting a video from start to finish. Come learn the single most important element for developing a successful script no matter the format. You’ll also walk away with specific questions to ask your client to help guide the writing process and avoid multiple re-writes.

Amy holds a Master’s degree in Advertising from Michigan State University and has over ten years’ experience writing video scripts for companies like Allergan, Beckman Coulter and Diedrich Coffee, as well as for various government agencies and state parks. Her work includes 30 and :60 second spots, voiceover and multi-character productions, orientation, training and promotional videos, and museum/visitor center videos, among others.

As always, bring a friend and plenty of business cards.
