As a result of MCA-I’s annual year-end election, LA/OC Chapter Treasurer, Art Kirsch, began his service on the international Board of Directors in January 2012. He will continue chapter duties while helping to guide the direction of the overall association. International president, Don Glass, of the Atlanta Chapter also started his term in January and said Kirsch was a welcome addition. “Art is full of great ideas and knows how to get things done.”
Art Kirsch is well known in the OC media community as the publisher of SoCalShowbiz.com. www.socalshowbiz.com His monthly postings profile the movers & shakers of the industry as well as articles, events and calendars covering all the entertainment and media arts. He is also a film producerc urrently working on a documentary, “The Brick People.” Besides serving locally as an officer of the MCA-I chapter, Kirsch is on the board of directors of the Media Alliance of Orange County www.maoc.org and an advisor to the Orange County Department of Education Music & Arts Administrators. If that were not enough, Kirsch is also on the board of OC Screen Writers Association www.ocscreenwriters.org and serves as the treasurer of OC MultiMedia Association www.ocmma.org
Two other members of the LA/OC Chapter have finished their term on the international board just as Kirsch begins his. John Coleman and Brian Page congratulated their fellow member on his election. The Media Communications Association-international (MCA-I) www.mca-i.org is a non-profit 501c3 charity which helps it members as well as serves the media community and the community at large.
For the second year, the Panasonic Solutions Company is making these iconic events possible. Starting on March 24th with the first event in San Diego, Panasonic is supporting media professionals with its involvement in MCA-I’s MediaProCamp. The popularity of the event has grown the series to a total of six this year.
Previously, Panasonic has given attendees sneak previews of new products such as the groundbreaking AG-3DP1, a 3D integrated twin-lens P2 HD shoulder-mount camcorder, and the Panasonic AG-AF100 featuring a large 4/3-inch, 16:9 MOS imager with an imaging area just slightly smaller than 35mm cinema film
